Ouch! I was just hit by Instagram deactivating my account. And either already or soon, the content and ancillary comments / contacts will be irretrievably destroyed. The deactivation could be due to several reasons, but the terse notification does not say which rule has been violated.
I can ask for a Appeal but the Appeal needs my account to be valid - the data validation in the form says my account does not exist at the moment.

Instagram has shut down other methods of communication to them - support email Orr Facebook direct message.
